Where did you get the 4600 lb empty weight of the trailer? Manufactorer? I've always heard they basically lie about what those things weigh. No personal experience but just doing a little math, maybe the trailer weighs closer to 5600 lbs??

My 2014 Ecoboost engine coolant def gets hot in the summer. When I towed in August is was 90-95F out and my temp gauge was getting up to and slightly past 3/4. My last tow was in 50 degree weather and it was totally fine. This is pretty normal from what I can tell on the Ecoboost forum. Lots of guys towing at altitude in the summer get high temps.

The transmission doesnt seem to change much though. I was around 210 in August and 207 when it was 50F

I think any name brand trailer would play it pretty straight with the weight they put on the actual manufacturer's certificate of origin. Mine has weight speficied with all equipment and full propane tanks. I'll be doing a little more checkong as I have good access to certified scales starting tomorrow!!

My 2016 showed 235F for both transmission and coolant after miles of 13-16% grade at low speeds (very windy steep road) using my scangauge. The needle never moved in either dash gauge. No errors, no power loss.

Heading up where this shows down:
