Thanks for all the advice, I was able to run the tank down to about just below half. Filled up this morning with premium. Ready to tow after work

Well waddaya know. I haven't been to my regular station for a couple weeks. They recently switched their Supreme+ to 93 octane. It was 91 last time I was there. $3.29 vs $2.79 for 87. I don't think the .50 cent difference will be worth it for what I do with the truck, but for towing, it will. I will need to do the cost per mile calculations to see what the cost would be between then two grades and what MPG I should get to make it worth using. I don't need the added performance, got enough as it is to get me into trouble.

First tow this past weekend, half tank of 87, half tank of 93. I didn’t hand calculate the mileage but it was better then the truck I traded in. About 3 hours on the road and burned less then a 1/4 tank. The biggest difference between the trucks was with the f150 it seemed like I could always just feather the gas pedal ever so slightly and the truck would smoothly increase speed, whereas the old truck it would always have to climb a few hundred rpms before picking up speed
