Default Towing with our 2015 5.0 for first time

We just got back from towing a 4500 lb enclosed 24' car trailer stuffed with a 4000 lb show car to Hershey and back(about 400 miles) with a 5.0, tow package and 3.55 rear and trailer brake. NO problem. Towed it with 3 people and luggage too for a total of 9000 lbs. Did not break a sweat. Even on the inclines with ac on it did it in 4th gear. On the flats back up to 6th gear. Love this Truck.Got 10 mpg too with the ac on!

All that weight without a weight distribution hitch? Wow!

Good report on the performance though!

not a steep incline at all. Just the usual eastern pa stuff. Some of the slopes were a good mile or so though. The incline meter said 2 degrees, so its not steep at all.

Yes, the semis and RV's made it sway pretty good but I kept it at 60-65 mph in the right lane and we were okay. we only tow a car maybe 3-4 times a year and not too far

I'm going with a WDH when I get the bigger equipment trailer tomorrow. That weight will be around 6400 lbs and in no way want anything to induce a pretty good sway on my setup!

What tires come with the FX4? My '17 Eco pulls like a monster, but the truck does not feel planted at all with a trailer on the back. My '07 didn't have near the power, but controlled the weight significantly better. I've already changed out the rear shocks to Bilsteins and it made a difference, but still not as good at the '07. I'm seriously thinking its the tires.

I have the 20" Goodyear Wrangler all terrain Kevlar tires. Don't think they are 10 ply.
