Default towing my boat

boat-3990lbs dry, 80 gallons of fuel-500ish lbs, trailer-1400 4.6L is a little gutless on steep hills but otherwise fine. low range in the ramp pulls it out no problem

Nice boat! One thing I don't understand is when you say the motor is gutless. I have a 09 4:6L regular cab and have hauled a few large loads it seemed to do as well as my 250 ever did. Although we are only talking five thousand pounds plus a trailer with is 5400 pounds.

to be honest with you my wifes explorer 4.0L has more ***** pulling the boat than my f150. dont get me wrong the f150 does just fine, but from a dead stop if we were side by side the explorer would murder my f150 in accelleration towing my boat.
