Towing improvement with tuner on 5.0?
exactly! I had a 2015 Scab 5.0L 3:31 rear end and towed 9,000lb RV with it for thousands of miles. NO tune and it had plenty of get up and never didnt have enough power for a steep hill.
I talked to a guy at an RV park who had a 2012 f150 5.0L towing a 7,000lb rv and said it couldnt get going above 35mph heading up TN mountains. Literally makes zero sense to me. Like Fake News from a EB lover / 5.0L hater? Something has to be causing that and its not lack of HP&TQ. And going from 3:55s to 3:73s is not a huge jump in ratios. Shouldnt have that much of an effect that it cuts the towing capability in half.
