Default Towing brake

This was on the truck when i bought it. I don't see myself ever using this. I was curious if i can just cut the wires and tape and cap them and tuck them under dash. I just don't want to cut them and remove it if it will cause any problems.

Look up under the dash, it more than likely has a plug on the end of it, you can just disconnect it from the harness.

Why cut at all? I'd get some heavy duty Velcro and stick it under the dash. Day comes you want to use it, (or sell the truck) it's not lost in the garage, or thrown away by mistake.

I agree, unless it really bugs you, leave it in place.

My personal opinion is, it's a cheap time-based unit. Get rid of it completely. If you ever need a good controller, get a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 or P3.
