I have thought about buying the super expensive Hensley hitch, but no guarantee that would resolve the sway. Any additional thoughts? Thanks
I have a similar situation, my 16 F150 3.5 EB is also a 145 WB towing a 8K loaded trailer 32L. Towed it fine most of the time last year but there instances where I was somewhat uncomfortable. Anyway I went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered a Propride 1400. So the Hensley also will compensate for the short WB and eliminate the sway but yes they are pricey. Of course you should be within your numbers and everything in good condition working properly.

Did that hitch completely eliminate the sway and does it do a good job on weight distribution? Does the hitch impose any limitations in backing or turning? Do you buy Hensleys on line and have someone install or buy at retailer somewhere? Thanks for your input.

No I haven't towed with it yet, I am just going by all the research I've done. Yes you order them online, both Hensley and Propride have good websites and you can make personal contact with Terry at Hensley and Sean at Propride. There is nothing special about the weight distribution part, even lower priced WDHs distribute weight well. What is does is project a virtual pivot point 54 inches forward of the coupler. What I have seen they do a great job backing up and the turning radius is improved. Hope this helps, but I would go to some of the RV forums and see other people's experiences. Most of the negatives are from people who never towed with one or the cost. There are none from people who use them.

I have a '12 F150 EB not sure the WB but I have similar size TT and mine felt like it swayed a lot, I even had my father drive to see if it was me (never towed before) but what I tried was adding the friction style anti sway control to the left side, so now I have one on the left and right, and I have towed one time since that and no sway at all.
