Default Tow mirrors on non-tow mirror truck

Has anyone installed them? I have a 17 XLT that came with the heated power mirrors with nothing else. I bought a set of factory tow mirrors (my heart hurts from the price) that all that was different is they have the puddle lights. But the wiring is completely different has anyone rewired them? Thanks.

If you bought tow mirrors for a 2017 F-150 XLT from dealer parts, they should be plug-n-play. Have you installed them and then checked to see if the puddle lamps work?

That’s what they are for but they are not plug and play. They obviously bolt up the same but the connectors are totally different. The truck has a 8 pin gray connector but the new tow mirrors have a black 22 pin connector. I have the wiring diagrams from Ford so I can rewire them, I was just wondering if anyone else has done this before.

I picked up a set of [1], simply because I have the 360 camera, and I don't think I can easily swap out to tow mirrors without a huge expense. I plan on taking the TT to the coast this coming week, going to review this after...

Bought a pair of SYPPO tow mirrors's for my15XLT [ 8 pin connector ] They fit and work just like the original standard mirror's. They are rock solid, crystal clear, plug and play at under $300 for the pair.
Note 2017 same mirror A little late in your case I made the same mistake when I bought Mirrors with the 22 pin plug, sent them back for refund and bought Syppo NO regrets.

I should have went aftermarket but I went with the actual ford ones. I guess I just have to rewire the 22 pin into the 8 pin and hope for the best.

It's been discussed in the 2015+ forum. https://www.google.com/search?q=22-p...hrome&ie=UTF-8 turns up most of those threads.

I heard through the grapevine that the basic adjustable glass "only" version of tow mirrors is not available.
I have the 8 pin plug with all 8 wires in it connected to my existing Non-Tow mirrors from the factory.
Why should I have to buy the Brand-X stuff from Syppo?
Wondering if Ford will get off their asses and offer one we can use.
54K window sticker and all I want is to walk into parts dept. and order a set that fit.

I've seen bad feedback about SYPPO convex glass being crap.
Any ideas or offerings I haven't heard of?

EBay sells tow mirrors. As you know what plug you have you can buy though many aftermarket vendors. I believe there are several on forums as well who carry your mirrors. Sell the OEMs or try to get the dealer to take them back.

I just bought a set of modifystreet tow mirrors with 22 pin connector. the only issue i have with them is that the turn signals don't work on either side. i have checked fuses and what i didn't have with the OEM ones is side marker lighting. i tried to re-seat the pin connectors just in case the weren't seated correctly but still no turn signals any info would be helpful.
