Default Tow/Haul setting will not engage

I have a 2010 Lariat 4x4 95K miles and the tow/haul will not work. When I depress the button the light comes on but it does not change the shifting.Could it be a fuse problem or is it an electical issue in the tranny? Any ideas

I think you might be expecting to much out of it. Brother has a 2010 w/ 5.4 and there is only a marginal difference with tow haul, mainly more engine braking

I am trying to haul 7000lbs and there is no difference when I turn it on and off.The constant auto up and down shifting is driving me crazy.I can not use cruise control on level highway. It keeps going into overdrive and slowing down and then downshifts again.I thought it was to keep it out of overdrive, but the manual says all gears are available,it just helps with upshifting and braking.I have 3.55 rear ratio.Would custom tune help with my problem?

Just lock out 6th gear and use tow/haul and you should be happier. It does not "keep it out of overdrive", it extends the shift points.

Brothers 2010 does not have select shift and cannot "lock out" gears. Just kind of SOL with overdrive.

Maybe a tuner can change the tranny shifts?

I can confirm also that the 2010 does not lock out gears but 5 star tuning does provide the option to have 6th gear lockout in tow-haul mode. The custom tunes have improved towing with my 2010 more than I expected.
