Tow/Haul Not Working in 2009 F150 FX4

That's complete BS. Tow/Haul is electrical but to me it's an integral part of the drivetrain in a truck.
Wonder if they could further split that hair...

Any updates? Did you call Ford or did the dealership fix it?

I had it in last week to get recall item addressed, exhaust manifold replaced and tow/haul and transmission looked at.
I dropped off Monday and picked up wednesday and they had only completed the exhaust manifold.
recall for door handles - they had to order a part and would be three days
tow/haul shifter - ordered part will cost 400, but not sure i am comfortable with this diagnosis considering i have never used the tow/haul
transmission - i asked him if they looked at it and my service rep said he didn't know they were supposed to. i said you left me a vm (i saved) that said you noticed a leak and the grinding as i reported. he said he might have had me mixed up with someone else. nice guy, but i think they are being sneaky. hate feeling this way, but i always get this sense when going through the dealer.

i called ford customer care last week and told them the dealer would not look at the tranny unless tow/haul was working. that was before the service guy tried to ignore the fact that i have a leak and issues when backing up. i will call ford customer care again today and give them the latest information. meanwhile i am taking to my local mechanic to see if the wire can be fixed on the tow/haul. i am not paying 400 for a new shifter if it is only a loose wire.

wow. nightmare of a story. may never buy another ford again. had my truck back in to the dealer t have the shifter replaced and the service fellas told me they can not reproduce the noise backing up (which I recorded on video and emailed them)...so two weeks after i was told that the ford dealer could not find any issues my carrier bearing on the driveshaft locked up. i had it towed to my mechanic because i was getting nowhere with the dealer and what should have been a 300 dollar fix including parts and labor is now 800 due to the fact the drive shaft is one piece and the bearing. anyone have this issue before? my mechanic mentioned getting a custom two piece shaft that make maint. and repairs easier and less expensive.
