Default No O/D Switch on 2006 Ford F150

I purchased a used 2006 4WD Ford F150 Lariat with the 5.4 L engine and 4R75E transmission. It does not have an O/D or Tow/Haul selector switch. Where the switch should be on the floor shifter is a black blank plug. It did not come with an owners manual but I downloaded one and it says this is only on certain models? Is this right?

My concern is I have just started towing a travel trailer and I would like the option of following the conventional wisdom of taking it out of O/D when towing.

Thanks in advance for the help/advice.

That's the point, there isn't one on the side of the shifter, it's just a blank plug. Does anyone know if Ford did a model run without O/D selection?

Attaching a photo to see what I'm talking about.
Thanks.

Get your VIN # and call your local dealer, talk to the service or tech dept, they should be able to give you the exact build specs from running the VIN
