So the question is whether "medium duty trailer towing" includes the ATF cooler. My 15 has "heavy duty trailer towing" and has the cooler. Nothing in my ETIS lookup specifically references a cooler, so I guess that won't help you determine anything directly in this case.

That is very, very close to my truck.

Mine has the "heavy duty trailer towing" and the "fx4 package" and 3.55EL

I'm betting your limiting number is GCWR
It should be around 14000# give or take 1k# And your truck weighs empty around 4883# So if you add yourself and a WDH (approx. 200# + 100#) AND NOTHING ELSE, your max trailer would be approx. 9k#. Obviously this is just a simple estimate.

Tongue weight for a typical 9k# trailer is 1170#, so you'll have to check the hitch. And of course if you add any other people or cargo to the truck this will go down.

I looked my truck up. It is a 2015 2.7L XLT and has the trailer tow pkg (53A). The esit site lists it as Heavy Duty Trailer Towing.

My guess is the Medium Duty is the 53B pkg which does not include the transmission cooler.

Ford no longer allows us to get them, but somehow this site provides them. I compared it to my real one and it was 100% match. I recommend downloading the PDF of your sticker because I am not sure how they are doing this and how long it will remain.
