Timbrens vs Autospring add a leaf vs road master active suspension
What is everyone running and why? I am leaning towards the active suspension but have a buddy telling me I am better off with the timbrens. What do you guys think? Any first hand experience?

I'm using Timbrens. The ride is unaffected when empty, they give additional support with a load, there is no maintenance and nothing to adjust; they are relatively inexpensive.
Downside; There is no adjustability for various weights of loads.

I use Timbren.
I have them on my F350s and F150s.
Have had them on my Dodge and Chevs in the past as well.
I like them which is why i keep using them.
Zero complaints.

Basically the Timbrens are longer bumpstops that engage when the weight in the bed compresses the springs. The only drawback I see with Timbrens is if you off road the truck.

My friend had a problem with his when he tried the road master.
It put extra stress right on the leafs.
The timbrens are completely separate and do not stress the leaf spring.
The timbrens only become active if the suspension is flexed far enough.
Then its a squish able rubber block that gets compressed.
You will forget that your truck has timbrens installed until you throw on a heavy load and remember then because it does not squat too far.
The beauty of a timbren is they don't wear out, or move, or require you to do anything.
Your ride when empty is unaffected and do nothing bad.
Some overload systems can rattle or become noisy.
Some make the empty truck ride rougher.
Some required the person to stop and fill with air and later let it out.
I have yet to find a single downside to the timbrens.
Had them on many trucks for many miles.
You can't break them or something bad.
They simply work well.
Put them on and try them.
If they are for a new f150 and you dislike them after you try them I'll make you a deal, and buy them from you.
When i get my next new f150 i will put them on that truck.
That is how sure i am they are the best.
I have had Firestone airbags, and add a leaf systems.
I hated them.
I now only use timbrens.

Sheesh do you sell them? haha jk, So one question for you, what do you tow? I wont tow a ton, but looking at a camper with a tongue weight of around 800 lbs, I don't offroad but I was planning on doing the icons in the rear but maybe I won't need to. With the tibrens are the hellwig sway bars needed?
