Default Test trailer brakes on the 7 way.

I want to test my 7 pin to make sure I have trailer brakes before I'd travel three hours to go pick up my travel trailer tomorrow. is there an easy way to do this from my garage?

Yeah, not free, but I'm lousy with automotive wiring, so I invested in a 7-pin trailer plug wiring tester. That's what you need. Here's mine:

Any RV shop should have a similar tester, but their service is usually not free either.

Here's the same thing for less money, but without the Tekonsha name on it.

You can use a circuit tester to ensure there's power coming out of each pin. If it's wired correctly, you should be OK. 7-pin testers like above are available, too, at stores that sell auto electronics.

Take a 12v test light and have someone use your brake controller to see if you have power at the blue
