tandem axle trailer problem

Also, tire wear is a questionable gauge of axle alignment. The axles may be perfectly parallel, but if the spindles aren't welded on perfectly straight (and they're usually not) you'll get uneven tire wear. I've built and rebuilt a LOT of trailers and have seen quite a few un-straight axles right off the shelf. Trailers almost never get a dynamic alignment because it would add considerable expense for the mfgr. Because of this, trailers (especially tandems and triples) go through tires fairly quickly. I had a dynamic alignment done on my 5th wheel and it nearly doubled the tire life.
