Super Springs

I have an 04 F150 Heritage with the 4.2 v6. I used the SSA8 kit with the mounting bracket. The Super Springs site was helpful in getting just what I needed, even though I ordered from Amazon, but the install directions were horrible. Online vids showing the install were much more helpful.

I bought the double leaf set for my truck in preparation for placing a 3700 lb. slide-in camper in the bed. They added 1400 lbs of payload capacity so my 3/4 ton has a greater load capacity than a 1-ton. Payload is calculated at the factory and a F-350 SRW will have higher payload capacity than a F-250 SRW truck and the difference is in the leaf springs that are installed.
The SuperSprings made all the difference in the world and only come into play when the load is in the bed, just like the extra leaf pack on a 1-ton truck. Took me less than an hour to install them and I did it with the rear wheels on the ground. Nothing to adjust and nothing to break. 7 years later they still work perfectly and this could not be said about air bags or Sulastic springs. With air bags I would be in trouble if one broke on a trip and I had to limp home without adequate support for the load in the bed or buy a new pair of airbags and have them installed before continuing my travels.
I ordered the double leaf set and at first only installed one extra leaf on the truck. It turned out to be inadequate for the 3700 lb camper and so I removed them and put back in the second leaf. This operation also took less than an hour to complete. With the addition of the SuperSprings the shocks work much better as there is a lot less axle travel with the increase in load support the SuperSprings provide. Pre-sale and post sale technical support from SuperSprings is excellent.
For me a level ride provides more control on the highways and so it is a safer truck, and I am not directing my low beams into oncoming drivers and sending my high beams off into the sky. The pickup manufacturers commonly have the rear slightly high with the bed empty as they expect that customers will actually put something other than their dogs in the bed and the load weight will level the truck.
