Already tried those, hence the post. At the dealer now to get some way past due recalls done as well as the software update done.

Not the trailer brakes as my FIL has towed my camper with no issues, and I have a battery powered mover that uses the trailer brakes with no issues.

If you pull apart connectors, and they have green crusties ie copper corrosion on, clean that off before applying WD40 or similar.

Got the truck back, had the update performed. Taking the camper out this weekend, see if it made any difference.

FYI, for anyone still following this, took my camper out this past weekend, about a 2 hour drive. Not one trailer disconnect error the entire trip. Appears that this update did indeed cure my problem.

Thanks for the update. I will have to convince the service manager that there is an update for brake controller

Just show the dealer the NHTSA SSM and they should be able to look it up: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...78981-7690.pdf

I had the TBC module reprogrammed a couple years back on my 2015 and it completely fixed the trailer disconnect issue for me. Somebody else on this forum who was a bit outside of the mentioned build dates who was having this issue reported that the reprogram fixed their disconnects as well.

Wonder what the update does? Best guess is it raised brake circuit continuity monitoring trouble threshold. Obvious nothing physical was changed
