Good, if you don't let the door swing back and forth at their end stops, they don't telescope as much out, making them less annoying.

everytime I've gone through the build page at ford...two options always get picked....big mirrors and tailgate step...I like them more over the standard size...lol

I miss the tow mirrors on my 2500. If I were ordering new, I would definitely go with the tow mirrors.

Of course, it depends what you're towing. With a wide and long travel trailer, the extra mirror is helpful to see around/behind.

I've tried the **** clip-ons on a prior truck and never got used to the vibration. I'm getting by with my regular mirrors on my F150; I don't tow that often, so I probably won't spend the money to upgrade. But I'd definitely go the tow mirror route if buying new.

**** clip ons are junk but that's why they are so inexpensive and everywhere from Walmart to Auto Zone.

**** Custom mirrors are much better with no vibration. Even **** Universal are very good but their legs do tend to walk down the mirror back after driving for long periods.

I LOVE MY TOW MIRRORS!

if you use them. But honestly if you're not towing then I would pass them up. I must say, if these mirrors were not power fold or power-telescoping, I would never own them (as in the prior year F150's). Also, you do need to be cautious about hitting things with them sticking out. A friend of mine clipped a cyclist riding on the shoulder with these giant mirrors! Not good at all for him or the biker. And if you ever hit your head on them (I have at least a half dozen times) you'll realize there's zero give in that system. They are extremely rigid.

I don't know which ones I had. They snapped over the entire mirror housing -- kinda looked like extra long stock mirrors. Anyway, I couldn't stand 'em.
