Not the back one, the front ones lol. I'm in need of assistance on deciding which brand to use and would like anyone to post up their front hitch w/ or w/o their bike rack. I really want to make sure the brand I need is as close off the ground as possible. My main use for it will primarily used for my bike rack. Thanks in advance to all that can contribute!

Not a lot of front hitches on here that's I've seen. Out of curiosity, why does it need to be a front hitch?

When my dad still had his truck, he removed the tow hooks from the front and bolted on 2 hitch receivers for a plow he had.

Funny thing is, he never plowed a damn thing with it because he had an Argo, lol

Mounting the hitch bike rack over the TT tongue won't work due to (soon) long tandem kayak. My only option is front hitch on the truck or hitch on the back of the TT. A hitch on the back of the TT is my last resort because I don't want all that weight back there and I don't have anything plan to add weight to the A frame at this time to offset that weight.

That is an interesting option, I never thought of that. My only concern is that they are to the sides rather than the middle. Pretty cool though!

Ah I see. Is the bed not an option either? I bought a hitch for the back of my TT for $30. Even 2 adult bikes with a hitch mounted rack is under 100 lbs... It shouldn't really affect towing. Unless it's a very small light TT. What are you towing?

Something like this would work :

Curt Hitch -- Easy install. Pretty much invisible. You have to keep the lower half of the air dam on or the bottom of the receiver is visible.

-Bed not an option due to my DECKED system, which raised the height up almost 12 inches. If I put the bikes on it, it (bike handles) will go above my Thule Xsporter Pro xbars and will be in the way of the kayaks. Furthermore the DECKED system has two rail type, a T-track and a Core track. I have the core track and I use that primarily for tie downs when we....ahem....wife/kids bring all their toys and stuff. The T-track is nice but I don't want to have to buy another set of bike rack systems and/or have to deal with quick release front wheels, too much hassle and I'm getting old so my knees, joints, etc. not happy so I rather plant my feet on the ground so the hitch rack is best for me.

-I did see you post that part on another thread but will not work with our TT. It's a 23D Airstream and I have an idea how to mount a hitch but as for weight, the 2 bikes and the thule bike rack is already at 109 pounds and that doesn't include the hitch which could be another 37# (based on Draw Tite info).

p.s. for engrish sake, note when I say hitch I do meant 'receiver' :)

Now that is a very clean install. Did you use a dremel to cut that air dam? Could you provide the Curt model? Thank you.

p.s. How did you paint that tow hooks or if you use after market what is it?

The tow hooks are powder coated and a real pain to remove.
I used tin snips. but a Dremel would work.
