Setting up my WDH again after leveling truck
I installed a 1.5" AutoSpring leveling kit. I hooked up the trailer today and went through the setup process again on my Fastway Trunion E2 10K because I knew it would have changed.
Without changing anything here is what my FRONT measured at:
The REAR wasn't as pretty:
I used to run SuperSprings, but I really want to try and run without them - I don't like how they add 3/4" of lift in the rear. I don't want to run that much rake 90% of the time for 10% of the time I tow. BUT, I could - here's where I get into more problems....
My shank is as low as it will go and I'm already 1/2" tounge high on my trailer when I'm all hooked up. If I add another washer or the SuperSprings, I'll have to drop the hitch head a hole (which I don't have)...
So I think I'm looking at geting a new shank and adding a washer to see where I stand. I'm currently running 6 washers.
Here are some pictures:
Thoughts, tips??
Thanks guys
Without changing anything here is what my FRONT measured at:
Unhooked: 39"
Hooked, no WDH: 39-1/2"
Hooked, WDH: 39-1/4"
According to the Fastway book, that's pretty much golden. The REAR wasn't as pretty:
Unhooked: 39-1/4"
Hooked, no WDH: 37-3/4"
Hooked, WDH: 38"
As you can see, I have a 1-1/4" reverse rake (nose high) now...I used to run SuperSprings, but I really want to try and run without them - I don't like how they add 3/4" of lift in the rear. I don't want to run that much rake 90% of the time for 10% of the time I tow. BUT, I could - here's where I get into more problems....

Rule 1: The floor of the trailer must be level front to rear when towing. At the most, a half-inch or so low in front, but never high in front.
Sounds like you need a new adjustable shank with more drop. If your current shank has 6" drop, then here is one with 8" drop:
That's a Fastway brand adjustable shank, but you don't necessarily need a Fastway band. Almost all adjustable shanks for a WD hitch will bolt onto your Fastway head. So if that 8"is not enough, then consider This Curt brand shank:

Well, I took measurements and I need 2" of drop, so that's what I ordered. The one I have currently only provides 1/2" of drop, so I hope this new one will work.
