For what that costs I would rather just pay a delivery fee and have the gravel dumped in the street in front of the house.

Yard of gravel is $55 at the place that doesn't deliver, $65 at the place that does, $30 delivery fee.

My trailer cost me $400, and has delivered aggregate maybe 20 times. Aggregate purchases alone would buy me a second used trailer. I've probably saved about a thousand not renting a truck for an hour from Lowes and Home Depot.

Its really too heavy for a halfton in the bed too.

Gonna spend more in gas and time than what a trailer costs.

Also, just use the tarp method unless this is a daily thing, and at that point using it as a dumptruck will make it a beater anyway.

Default Tailgate defender installed

I installed the tailgate defender! It took 20 minutes to assemble and 15 minutes to install on the truck. I’m waiting for it to warm up before I add a bead of silicone to the bed molding. It is very heavy duty and well designed.
I also installed a 1/4 x 14 3/4 x 59 3/4 inch textured ABS panel to the tailgate using 3M VHB tape 5952.

See picture below.

Well, it is "very heavy duty" these guys are still at it. Good thing the product is "very heavy duty" since you installed it on a bed without protection. No bedliner, no spray in liner, no mat. Perfect for hauling gravel now.......
