This is something that I just started to look at.for my 2018 F150 2.7 eco with factory tow package. I had been considering Airbags or Timbren SES. My issue is when I tow my boat at about 5200# I get a lot of bounce. I'm hoping that this will take care of it. My biggest worry is that it will make the ride rougher. I really enjoy the smooth ride I currently have.

it won't affect the ride per se as in comfort, it just controls the load put on the springs once it's weighed down. The ride is felt by stabilizing the rear springs as a whole, it stops spring wrap and sagging.

Default Ride

My ride is better. I was worried it would bounce but it feels like the front and back are one truck and very smooth. That is with the first setting. Not sure if more tension would make it a harder ride or not.

I just installed mine yesterday. The comfort of the ride while the truck is unloaded has not changed as the springs are only minimally active until the leaf stacks really start to bend under a heavy load. What I'm impressed with is that these springs eliminated the side-to-side rocking while going around a corner over a bump. The install was easy. It took more time to take the tires off and on than the actual installation of the springs. I'll be loading up the truck and hitching up my camper tomorrow for a cross country trip. I'll know more after a few days of traveling with that load.

Wife and I are moving from Colorado to Florida (a whole different story) so we loaded up the truck with our personal valuables, hitched up the camper and without a doubt I'm super happy I put these springs on a few days earlier. My F150 is very close to 1,900lbs payload capacity and I'm using all of it. I set the springs on the first (1-mm) setting and its made a nice difference with the truck all loaded up.

I would make this investment again tomorrow.

I tried the airbags and sumo springs years ago when the supercrews first came out, didn't like the way any of them felt or worked. Tried the Roadmasters and they worked perfect. I've used them on 3 trucks now, had them sitting in my shop for 4 months before my new diesel F150 came in and were the first thing I put on. I pull trailers virtually every weekend but run unloaded most of the week. Great overall balance, I personally think Ford should install these on all F150's from the factory.

Default adding to the RAS

Im picking up a camper this summer and i want to make towing as easy and safe as possible. Ill be traveling from Michigan to Texas with the new trailer, the trailer is just under 5500 dry and 7000 GVWR. I already have Bilstein 5100s and will definitely be getting the RAS. I was also considering getting the Hellwig Rear Sway Bar. Will the RAS be good enough or is the rear sway bar worth the extra cost?
