Reese Strait-Line

I just set my new hitch up and have the cams sitting right with the bars. Does everything look correct to those who have used it?

So how does that one work for sway control? Like a detent to hold it straight?

Looks like the head needs to be tilted to be able to drop the bars a couple links and also the sales where the chain attach to needs to be moved up so the chains hang straight

They look like they are welded.

Not to jack your thread or down your hitch but I just upgraded to the equalizer hitch from a chain set up no comparison love this thing just pulled it over 800 miles @75mph zero sway in high winds hail and rain.

Yeah the previous owner welded the brackets for his Curt hitch on there. I adjusted the cams and it seems a little straighter now. Sway is much better but I'm still not happy with the stability of my '15

Looks like a cargo trailer. A lot of those have the axle in the center causing the tongue weight to be light causing stability issues. I would run it across the scales to see what kind of loads you have on the truck axles.

It's tough to tell from the picture but it's a 20' Haulmark 7000 gvwr trailer. I have it loaded with a car and tools so it's right around the max GVWR.

If the tongue weight is Less than 10-12 percent it will cause instability according to some on this board
