Receiver hitch lock
Hi guys I purchased a new 2018 lariat F150 and am planning on towing my trailer with it. I am getting rid of a 2012 F150 and I was able to use a Bolt lock which uses your ignition key to lock and unlock it (with a lifetime warranty). So the 2018 is a keyless entry so I am trying to find a lock that is equal to the Bolt lock.

I've never heard of the bolt-lock, and for other people that haven't it might be better to say what features you want rather than what is equal to an unknown.

Most people who. tow know about the "Bolt" locks if not a quick search will explain it. They are a series of locks that you can set to use your ignition key.
OP solution any one of a jillion after mkt locks just have to carry another key. |
Yep, unless you want to break into your fob every time to pull out the emergency key, just get one that has it's own key.
Now I am questioning if my 16 fob still has one. |

I bought this for my hitch mount bike rack:
Trimax T-3BLACK Premium 5/8" Key Receiver Lock Rugged BLACK epoxy powder coat https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000W0RQ8C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_iFQ9zb91FGYEM it doesn’t seem to say it anymore, but I thought I remember buying it specifically because it was rated for more than my f150’s 11,300 lb hitch rating. |
Keep the Bolt Lock and keep one of the spare keys from the old truck in the center console. I have Bolt Lock accessories also and will be torn to get rid of them when I trade the truck. I have the bike lock and receiver pin, they are handy.

I like the idea of the Bolt lock if all i did was tow with my F150, but I also tow with my Jeep on occasion and put my bike rack on both. this means I gotta have two, or bring both sets of keys, since one works with Chrysler keys and the other Ford. If I bring both sets of keys that defeats the purposed and if i have to buy two thats $54 for locks when I spent like $15 for the one posted above.
