I tow a very similar TT, 25ft Kodiak Hybrid, gross weight 6000 with my 3.5.

On my last trip to PA mountains I ran premium on the way out and regular on the way back. My mileage was the same. I did not notice any performance difference either, which I assume is because the motor simply is not stressed towing 6000lb. In fact, I only dropped to 5th gear on the larger hills and cruised comfortably at 65-70mph.

My last trip to the Vermont mountains with my Atv trailer loaded with 3 motorcycles (1800lb) and motorcycle in the bed (600lb) I ran premium up and regular back and did notice a slight MPG gain with premium but when I crunched the numbers it was about $.05 cheaper per mile to run regular and again, zero performance difference.

I think it’s safe to say the suspension will by taxed long before the motor is!

That's good to know since we have similar weight TTs.

Mine is also around the same. 5500 lbs.

Like I said before, I think the single best thing you can do for towing performance is an intercooler and tune. Keep those IAT's in check and the truck will run far more consistent than any fuel octane. 87 Octane with IAT close to ambient temp will be far better than 91 octane with 200 degree IAT's.

I dont have one yet, but I plan to once the weather gets warmer. Even yesterday driving my truck unloaded, I was seeing IAT's in the 110-120 range just climbing hills. It was 45 degrees outside.
