Default Post Pics Towing a Pontoon boat with lift/level

Hey all, I have a 2015 Supercab Lariat FX4 that I has an ICON Stage 2, 3" rear block and 35's. I have the 5.0, 3.73 gears and tow package and I'm looking to get a 20-22 ft. pontoon boat down the road. The models I'm looking at weigh in at around 3,600 - 3,800 pounds with the engine and trailer. Well within the tow rating of the truck..

I'm interested to see how many people are towing boats with their lifted or leveled 2015's. Post up pics if you've got them, and what size drop receiver you had to use to level your trailer. Thanks!

I tow a 22ft pontoon with my 2015 KR, stock height. I found that I have to use a 3 1/2 inch rise drawbar to get the boat level or slightly nose low. Pontoons sit very high on the trailer and unless you have a pretty high lift you won't need much drop at all. I would start with a straight or maybe 2 inch drop and go from there. Of course the right way is the tape measure and measure the tongue height with the boat level but where's the fun in that??

Not lifted - stock height. Boat trailer is level with 2" drop from receiver.
Boat is 22' San Pan with 250 HP Etec.

Thanks guys! I have a 4" drop that I use on my other trailers. I know I'm kind of jumping the gun on drop lengths not knowing what the trailer will be yet, I just know pontoon trailers just sit a little higher. I'm just trying to visualize with some pics..

Joe, how do you like your tri-poon over a pontoon?

After having a pleasure boat for many years, the pontoon is so much nicer.
Just easier to load and so much more comfortable.
The tri-toon is a big improvement for ride, speed and fuel savings.
This boat will cruise at 40+MPH with 16 people on board. Not full throttle. Smooth in rough water - regular boats are slapping the waves and the tri-toon is smooth.
Fuel consumption is very low. Even pulling skiers, tubes and toys, cannot burn a tank of fuel in a week.
Test drive a tri before you buy...

Thanks for the feedback! I've been shopping, and don't plan to buy until next summer, but from what I'm seeing the tri's are the way to go. Just wanted to get some real-world feedback from an owner, so thanks!
