I respectfully disagree.
I'm not trying to claim our plows are as capable as the heavier, more expensive ones. But our plows do weigh a good deal less than our competitors. Adding a SNOWSPORT HD plow to a truck only adds about 200 pounds of weight, so that means a lot less work for your suspension.
We market these plows to homeowners and our customers save quite a bit of time compared to other snow-clearing methods.
If you don't believe me, that's OK. I'll let our customers speak.

It might be usefull for some guy with a paved 50 foot suburban driveway who makes one straight push and is done.
I notice videos of this thing are always in powder snow. I can't see it pushing a foot of wet snow without riding up on top or breaking.

The snowsport is for suburban people with 50 feet of driveway to put on a little suv and play around. I have an 1/8 mile of dirt driveway with trees and rocks on both sides and sometimes we get 2 feet at a time. I would break that thing the first storm.
At work they tried to mount a fisher 7.5 HD on a 15 F150. It was a no go. The blade went up and the front end only dropped an inch and half. But when bounced it went all the way to the bump stops. No way you could drive that on the road. It was replaced with an SD 7.5 which the truck handled ok.
Fisher only recomends the Homesteader which is a little plastic toy and the HT half ton blade for the 15. The HT is ok but a little light duty.
I think I am going to put the SD 7.5 on mine. It seemed like the truck handled it ok on the one I saw. It's only 60 lbs heavier than the HT, but the bracing on the blade looks beefier in case you hit a rock or tree with it, it won't bend as easy. The SD is also chain lift which lets you stack the snow up in higher piles than the HT which isn't.

I was just at Sandwich Fair in Sandwich New Hampshire last week, there was a Boss Plow dealer there I stopped to see what was new. Boss now has a 'V' plow for the half ton pickup. Still 7 1/2' like the standard duty I use. But the 'V' would be cool to have But more importantly Useful and handy. I've used a 'V' in a 3/4 ton pick up. You can really clean up an area with a 'V'. I've owned Fisher plows also. But once you buy a Boss. Everything else is inferior. No banging bouncing chain like others. Boss has a solid hydraulic piston connection, quick and fast movement.
I just read about mounting the fisher 71/2' plow on the 2015, you'll see in my sig below, I mention 'Timbrens', this is a suspension upgrade added at the plow dealers. I put Timbrens on my 2010 F150 also, they work great and keeps the front end from bottoming out when you lift the plow. Also ballast in the back of the truck for traction is recommended. I put 300lbs in on a pallet and sit it in my truck with my tractor before each storm and remove it when I drop my plow. Ask anyone who plows, bigger is better.

I sell and run Boss plows, with a personal 17 year old Boss 7'6" super duty on my F250. At work we have a 04 Ranger that has had a 7' Sport duty which is the same as the new HTX since new. We cranked the torsion bars and that's it. At almost 100k it's still on the factory ball joints and suspension, which is apparently still in good enough shape to be aligned as that was just done 2-3 months ago. I have many F-150 customers with older and newer trucks running larger then recommended plows on their trucks. One company runs nothing but half tons with 8'6" super duty blades and wings!
New this year for Boss is optional down-pressure, with standard LED headlights that are heated to keep ice from sticking to them.

I just emailed Boss about adding a 'wing extension' to the passengers side of my standard duty 7'6" plow. I see them on their website for the 'V' plows and its says there part
#MSC08042C is wings for the straight plow but shows no photos and little info.
I want to be able to wing my banks of my driveway back farther when we have a 20" storm. My driveway is 500' long and if my plow was just a little wider I could throw the snow farther.
