Default Optimum Hitch Drop

I just purchased a 2013 F-150 4x4 SCrew with the Ecoboost. Now for getting all the essentials a guy needs.... I mostly tow utility trailers. From what I've seen here, it would seem that a 2" drop is optimum for normal use? Am I correct? If not, what would you recommend? Thanks!

A 2" drop is perfect for every trailer ever made

Just kidding (obviously Your hitch ball height depends on the trailer and there is no standard trailer frame height. You want the trailer to be level or slightly lower in the front once connected. My current coupler is a straight 3 ball model and it works fine for most of my applications.
