Not towing this with my F150

Having built and driven race cars for years, I have a hard time believing a SBC is 1000# unless you are counting the outdrive.
I really think you need to get this setup on a scale to be certain of the actual weight.
If I had access to a 3/4 truck easily, I think I would borrow it twice a year to move the boat. Your F150 will do it but will have a hard time with control in any unpredictable situations.
Just my $0.02

Yes engine and drive together are 1070#. And I agree that the certified scales will put many of these questions to rest. With the information I have right now I was trying to understand how to prepare for "towing day". Boat is in the water in slip and trailer is tucked away on farm so seemingly easy answers are not in this case. I was working through the problem abstractly so I could be prepared...if it looked reasonable/possible/legal I would get airbags and learn more about towing near limit.
I guess running fuel down to nothing and removing everything from boat and towing with only me as "payload" in the truck it seems close, but too close for my personal decision for the first time. I'll get it on scale behind a 3/4 or 1ton the next time.
Thank you all for taking the time to respond.
