They are not that hard to source, in fact they are quite popular around here.

But, being an eco-owner with the max tow package, in hindsight I would have ordered the max payload package instead, especially with, as the OP mentions, a family of 6.
The limiting factor when towing with the ecoboost will always be payload capacity.

Yep. It's always payload.

So far I have started the pre shopping phase getting some pricing from dealers around here, pretty big dealers, so far not one has given me the correct payload. All said 9,500 lbs. Between the idiot camper salespeople trying to oversell me and the dealers not knowing their product it really makes me scared to drive around trailers on the interstate now! I have sent them a picture of my sticker on my Expedition and told them I needed an additional discount for educating them on their product.

Yeah, 9,500 lbs sounds like they are quoting the towing capacity. The payload capacity would be much less.

I finally had someone send me a pic of the yellow label, it was just under 1900. Idiots.

And to the other poster, driving two vehicles just seems like a pain since we won't always go local, we would choose the motorhome over doing that I believe.
That is why I went with a Rockwood Roo hybrid camper. The slide-outs maximizes the floor space for daytime family activities, and with the fold-out bed ends, you are not towing the square feet of just sleeping quarters. We special-ordered ours last year with all the features we wanted after using a pop-up camper for 9 years, and love it so far.

I ordered the Max Payload (which includes the Max Tow) in March and still have no confirmation when it will built, and understand that no more orders are being accepted for 2015's. I think a lot more would be sold if they were available. I don't need one to pull my camper, but with a family of 6 for multi-week camp trips I don't ever have to worry about approaching my payload limit by fully utilizing the bed for sporting goods, luggage, pack & plays & other grandbaby stuff. Also having more truck than I need will help on mountain climbs and descents.
