Default Need long term towing advice

Hello all, I'm starting up a power washing business and will be hauling an enclosed trailer with an estimated weight of 3400 lbs and occasionally 4400 lbs 5 to 6 days a week. I've never owned a truck before but after lots of research have settled on a 2011 to 2014 F150 V8 or same years in a F250 V8 gas. I know thats not a ton of weight, but if I'm towing that kind of weight around town 5 to 6 days a week will it put excessive wear on a F150 over 4 to 5 years of truck ownership?Or should I just go with an F250 which I know can handle it? I'm aware of what the specs say both trucks can tow, just don't know the long term affects of towing a trailer almost every day of the week. Thank you for any replies.

If I had to tow a trailer all day every day for work I would go with the 250 for sure. I just traded in a gas 250(6.2L) on a new 150(5L) and while the 150 tows well the difference in stability and braking is noticeable.

I would tend to agree with Buzam. If you're going to tow all day, every day, I'd want the heavier-built truck. As you mentioned, both trucks are well within their capabilities, but the F250 will be more comfortable doing it.

I might even consider the F350. Then you get the 5-leaf spring pack and a full floating rear axle, right? You'll have no worries then as the years rack up.

The 250 doesn't have a full floating axle? I assumed it would but could certainly be incorrect. The difference in price between the 250 and 350 is relatively small also, at least that's the case around here.
