Great for commuting, not so great towing/hauling.
True brulaz, but then the truck is rated for much less tongue weight/payload also, that's what my point was. If you install heavier springs or air bags, your capacity is not increased, but it may look fine even if you are severely overloaded. Worth looking into.

Totally agree. After market springs, shocks and LT tires will help with handling under load if you don't have the HD Payload option. That's it. Aftermarket fixes don't increase the truck's GVWR or Payload. If you need that xtra capacity be sure to get the HD Payload package which adds a heavy duty axle to the package, or get an F250.

Wow, monzi; you and I are facing the same challenges with the exception that I already have the TT. I have a 2012 f-150 Screw 5.5 bed with EB. I am here to tell you with absolute experience that the F-150 will pull anything as long as you can hold onto the wheel. I have a 32' TT and when pulling down interstate even with WD and friction sway-bar, it's down right scary! I don't have HD payload option but I sure wish I knew about it before I bought mine. I am looking into Supersprings or Timbrens to help the bouncing and rolling the softer suspension of the 150 provides. Both options claim to only work under a load. Anyone with more experience would be welcomed to chime in. I did everything up to inquiring a trade in already based on my dissatisfaction of the handling when pulling. Suggestions??

I have a 30ft TT that pulls straight and true down the highway with the same set up you describe above. No sway, no bounce. Maybe the hitch is not adjusted properly?
