Default Max Towing Package

I just got a used 2019 F150 XLT and am probably asking this question at the wrong time in the buying process. But I have tow questions around the term max towing package. It's frustrating that Ford uses it in their brochures as a footnote, but with no definition
1) What makes uf a mac towing package? I'm assuming it might be beefed up suspension or extra transmission cooling etc., but I have no idea
2) How do you discover whether you truck has it or not, whatever it is.

Related question they also use term towing package as footnote but no explanation of that term either. So are the the same, or is one really higher level package in some way than the other.

Apologize if this is one of those obvious questions. I'm new to the F150 world so pretty ignorant

Funny, same question was asked yesterday.

Frame.
Suspension
few other things

Others will have answers of how you can tell if you have max tow....hang in there. Be patient but you should know before lunch or dinner, depending on your time zone.

The main component difference between a normal F150 and the HDPP, 2.7L payload package, and Max tow package is the 9.75 rear axle versus the standard 8.8 rear axle.

the 9.75 axle will also come with better gear ratios for towing (3.55 or 3.73) and the mechanical parking brake.

and yes there are other small differences like springs and cab / bed configuration but the rear axle is the limiting factor for a lot of trucks (ignoring the great payload debate)

That 8.8 and 9.75 are INCHES for the ring gear size.
Max Tow (53C) in 2019 required 3.5EB. Max Tow safety chain hole plate is angled backwards at a 45 degree angle. Max Tow comes with 3.55 gear ratio and Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (ITBC).
Heavy Duty Tow package (53A) 2019, towing package on window sticker, comes with 3.31 gears, no ITBC. Has the Pro Trailer Back Assist. Hitch safety chain plate is flat to the drawbar.
Medium duty tow package (53B) 2019, hitch receiver/trailer wiring on sticker, comes with 3.15 gears, no extras. Same hitch as 53A.
Other gear ratios and the ITBC are standalone options. I have better gears & ITBC added separately.
The above gearing is for 3.5EB and 5.0. 2.7EB gearing was usually the next number/level up, helping make it a decent tow engine.

I debated including the ring gear size, but deleted it to avoid confusion. Still one of the main components of the higher payload and towing ratings. Obviously everything else included in your list can be found in marketing materials but Ford doesn’t really call out the use of the larger axle.

Thanks for the detailed reply. So mine has the safety chain angled, and an ITBC. So it seems like that indicates it has the max tow package?
The used marketing for these trucks just say things like tow package which can mean anything. My payload on the sticker on front door is 1,761 which seems on the higher range than some of the models, but don't know if that means anything regarding the tow package.

Do any of these packages change the suspension and therefore the payload capacity? From both answers it appears the answer may be no.

Your payload will be exceeded long before you hit Max towing. 1700 lbs ain’t bad though.

So you can know your axle type & ratio, courtesy of 2019 Ford Towing Guide.

The Max Tow safety chain plate angles with the “hinge” bend vertical, some years standard hitches have had the whole plate bent back, “hinged” across the top.
I can’t definitely answer the last question on changes but AFAIK, only the HDPP Heavy Duty Payload Package and 2.7 Payload Package are used to significantly add payload.
