Default Max Tow HD Payload on the lot

Not that I'm in the market for a new truck, but I ran across a max tow, HD payload truck on a dealer lot. These are quite rare. It's in Indianapolis.

Wow, those are expensive. Wouldn't a F250 diesel be around the same if not a just a bit more?? I've priced out F250s with 6.2L for $45K and diesel was an optional $8K for a grand total of $53K. Of course they weren't Lariats but had the options my truck has which is a lot. I'd say I'd go that route first, as you should get much better mpg towing and near the same not towing. Then again if your want leather and a moon roof, which I personally don't care for, then by all means get the F150s.

Hek, here's a F350 with a GVWR of 11,300 lbs! It's just a bit over $55K.

Good luck in your decision.
