Default Is my wdh set up wrong?

The back of my truck sits pretty high unloaded. When the trailer is on it drops and it looks level with the front and the trailer behind all looks level but the drop looks huge?

Sounds like it is set up about right to me. You just don't want to see the rear down and the front go up.

Did you read your Ford owners manual? Good detail on proper set up. Trailer should be level to slightly nose down for proper towing.
Wheel well height is described in the owners manual.
What size trailer and tongue weight?

Nope, dealer installed the hitch etc. Ive watched videos on how to install and most seem to measure wheel arch to floor and expect only small amounts of drop. Trailers 7300lb dry with a 700lb tongue.

That's a heavy trailer. Picture of the front and back, with it loaded? Optimal tongue weight will be about 200 lbs heavier when loaded plus the weight of the WDH. So about 1k lbs.

What's your payload sticker say? Probably better than mine. My payload is low due to options. We travel with about 600 lbs in the truck with passengers and stuff.

How did it tow? Thanks

It seems to tow ok - i cant go above 60 or things get hairy - below 60 and trucks passing dont wobble me barely. It does seem to lurch, even with no power applied, it seems to feel like its surging sometimes - this is greatly reduced if i dont use tow mode for some reason.

Try adding sand or water jugs up front. At least for a test. Though I travel with all my water jugs up front. Need some more tongue weight. What kind of WDH did they install?
