Default LT tires for towing (w/20" wheels) ?

Not that I am in the market for tires quite yet but I've looked around and I am not seeing much for LT's in 275/55/20's (a few more in 285/55/20 though).

Just wondering what everyone is running for tires on 20's.

I saw just one tire in that size on tirerack that was LT rated.

If you are intent on serious towing, you may be better off to find some 18" wheels.

Starting to think that. I may look at 285/55r20 too but they are a lot more expensive.

I sold my 20s and went right down to 17" because the cost of LT-Es for 17" rims were a lot cheaper than 20s, and even cheaper than 18s.

I put a set of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 D sized LT275/55R-20 on my truck a few months ago. You can get them E rated if you get the 265s i think. I can't speak to towing yet as I haven't done any. But overall they are a great tire, good in the snow so far as well.
