Long trip planning
I almost never add oil between oil changes. We pulled a 4500ish lb trailer from Georgia to Colorado 2 summers ago. I did have to add a quart of oil on that trip, but in the mountains and at altitude the engine was working a lot harder.
Last summer I pulled a lighter Sub 4000 lb trailer from Georgia to Maine and back. We went north mostly on I95, but took a more westerly route coming through Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia coming home. I didn't add any oil on the trip. I was about a quart low when we got back but instead of adding a quart it was time to change it anyway.

I do an oil change on mine (5.0) every 3-5000 depending on distance usually showing 40-60% on the OLM.
70% of my driving is on highway until I get to the primative acreage we ride... so 30% off highway driving at 20-50mph
Mine does not burn oil and I typically tow or transport 5 full sized dirbikes. (2 in the bed and 3 on hitch carriers)
I did notice a message in the Ford Pass app about getting ready to schedule an oil change. Not sure if the software is capable of seeing the
maintenance records recorded in the app...
I've towed a trailer for 1/2 the 25K miles on my truck. I've haven't seen any increase in oil usage. I pay no attention to the "Oil Life Monitor". I change oil every 5K miles.
