SCab 6.5 = 145"
SCab 8.0 = 163.7"
SCrew 5.5 = 145"
SCrew 6.5 = 157"

So only the SCab 6.5 and the SCrew 5.5 have the same wheelbase. The RC 8.0 is a few inches shorter.

SCab 8.0 has the longest wheelbase available in an F-150 - over 6" longer than the longest SCrew. So if you want the best F-150 for towing, you want the SCab 8.0.

No such thing as a SuperCrew with 8' bed. If you want that, you have to move up to the SuperDuty, which offers a CrewCab with 8' bed. I had one of those for over 10 years. That F-250 was over 22' long, nose to tail. Good thing I designed my garage with 24' depth.

Had an F350 Dually Screw with the 8 foot bed. Yep that is one long truck, and wide too, yet fit easily in my garage. the mirrors were the only issue, smacked them into the door frame many times.

Seems to me the issue is not short bed or long bed unless you have a regular cab, but the wheelbase. The difference between supercab and supercrew is minimal compared to the Regular cab short box

I would take the better turning radius and compact size over the slightly better feel. Reason being, I back my trailers in some tight hard to get to places. (my dad used to have a GMC Jimmy which was awesome for maneuvering a trailer in some crazy spots) The other reason being the difference in feel between the long and shorter wheelbase is only a little better and only with a large load, a load that if I were driving regularly or cross country I would probably have invested in a super duty anyway. Those are my thoughts
