Default limited slip vs electronic locker

Need advise or to be lead to an earlier thread: About to order an EB, XLT, 6.5 bed, crew cab, MaxTow, HDpayload. Will be hauling a small fifth wheel or 5000lb GVWR TT. Little, if any actual off-road -- maybe an ocxasional graded logging road or non-severe path to a campsite or trout stream. So, which rear end is best, pros and cons welcome. I love the limited slip on my silverado 2wd, but only know of one time when it actually saved me from calling for a tow. No real understanding of either mechanism, especially the elocker. Any help would really be appreciated.

HD Payload comes with the limited slip 3.73 only (different/bigger axle than the std F150).

Not an option, he will have to get the limited slip 3.73 axle with the HD payload package.
From what he describes, that diff is better anyway IMO for his use, as he does not offroad. Towing a heavy trailer, that LS will be good.

If I recall correctly the Max Tow has a 9.75 diff also, just 24 spine axles and 6 lugs vs the HD having 31 spline axles and 7 lugs on the other end. Max Tow can be had with electronic locker and HD is LS only. Both are semi-floating axles.

I had an electronic locker in my previous truck, I much prefer the mechanical LSD 98% of the time. The other 2% of the time it is likely helping me avoid breaking something.

Yeah, you won't have any choice in ratio. You will have 3.73 ratio if you want either max tow or HD payload pkgs..

With EcoBoost engine, if you order 3.73 e-locker diff, you will get max tow pkg. If you order 3.73 LS, you will get both max tow and HD payload pkg. On a 4x4, if you order either 3.55 or 3.31 ratio, you will get neither max tow nor HD payload pkgs. On a 4x2, if you order either 3.55 or 3.15 ratio, you will get neither max tow nor HD payload pkgs.
