Level Kit and Airbags - Need advice

Hey everyone, my wife gave me some money to level out my 2016 Ecoboost F150. I'm a little worried that if I don't put airbags on and I level out the truck that it will sag when I tow my camper around. If you are towing and you level your truck is an airbag suspension kit almost mandatory? I'm fairly new to this piece of truck modifications so, I'd love opinions on if I need the airbags at all, if I need to level and if so what products you like the best? If leveling and/or installing airbags is stupid then maybe I'll put the money towards something else. Thanks everyone!

guess it will all depend on how much the camper weighs and the set up... WDH.

I'd say that with water and all our stuff the camper weighs around 6,500lbs. I have a WDH as well.

how much of a level were you thinking?

Probably just 2"? Just to even it out to the back, take some of the rake out.

i think you can adjust your WDH to compensate for 2” level. hopefully somebody that has done this will chime in.

Airbags are nice because they allow you to eliminate the squat when loaded, or at least the vast majority of it. When deflated to 5 psi I've never detected any ride harshness, although some will debate the point. The only trick to towing with bags and a WDH is to inflate the bags to the appropriate pressure BEFORE setting the spring bars. You might have to play with them a little to find the right pressure. All 3 trucks in my signature have them.

With a 2" level and an 800 lb. tongue you'd want about 25 psi in the bags before setting the bars.

what brand bags you have Perry ? riderite ?

Yes, the 5000# kits on all. Probably overkill for the 150's but there's really no downside. On the '13 I have onboard air, and it's really convenient.
