Apologies to my Canadian buddies....lol. Yea, I used the wrong gallon conversion...but used a conversion app that only had that as a choice. I shoulda be smart and just used the imperial setting in the truck. Regardless.....13 mpg is ok with me towing this thing .

If I had t guess i would say the black one towed it better because it is a heavier truck.

The black one was more stable while towing. Had a better suspension I guess as it held the road rock solid at any given speed, and didn't roll it's nose in circles.

I wouldn't call it a heavier truck, my 16 weighs 20 pounds more. It just handled better.

Once I get the Blue Ox setup and road tested, I will leave the opinion open on the two.

I can tell you the 2014 was a more comfortable truck to drive. I had to add 2 inches of foam padding to the 2016 drivers seat to make it comfortable, but that doesn't help with the knee banging the door because the door is thicker and intrudes in the leg room. The center console is also wider and has it's good and bad too. Good because there is a lot of room in it, bad because it also shifted the seat over a bit so the steering wheel is no longer center to the seat. Adding the foam padding helped with that as well as I can move over in the seat and now my hands and arms no longer fall asleep.

Finally have the RV and the truck at the same time so we're going on our first trip this afternoon. Can't wait to get it loaded up and behind the wheel!

Ah I should have waited on taking a photo, my tow mirrors arrived (Syppo). For the price I'm fairly impressed. Guess I'll have to take more while on the trip

Good to know. Guess I'll keep my 14 a little longer. Both of us find the seats comfortable. Suspension wise I'm thinking a rear sway bar might be a good addition but so far towing hasn't "demanded" any changes just a slight rocking in variable cross winds.

Sumosprings would be a good option to reduce sway like that. Easier to install and wont need an alignment when done. They just replace the bump stops.
