Well upgraded the pop up camper over the weekend.
Passport 175BH. It seems to sit well loaded so not sure i need a WDH, the dealer said with such a light trailer and low hitch weight, it should be fine.
Shipping Weight 3160
Carrying Capacity 1340
Hitch 410
Length 21' 3"
Height 10' 5"
Fresh Water 43
Waste Water 38
Gray Water 38
LPG 40
We picked it up from Alexandria, which is a little over 2 hour drive from my house. Super windy day, and on the way back, you could really feel it moving. Well much more than the old pop up lol.
Next day loaded up and took it to Fountain Blue and even though it was still a windy day, it pulled it like a champ. Sunday on the ride back, was calm and only had issues with big rigs would pass me doing 80.

Where you from? I'm right here in Avoyelles parish. We pull to Indian Creek a good bit.

Live in Plaquemine, in Iberville Parish. We only started camping about 5 months ago.
Indian Creek is on our list to try, only have been to Fountain Blue and Chicot.

Today is my truck's birthday, built on May 10, 2016. So I bought it a new camper to tow. This one loaded will weigh in at 6500lbs. Picked it up today, about 7 weeks after special ordering. The camper is a KZ Connect 241 RLK, total length just shy of 30 feet. Towed about 45 miles home with no problems and truck didn't mind at all. Will be doing a weekend trip in a week or so to try it out. Mid July taking it to Florida for a week and mid August another week trip, this time to Kentucky. Wife plans on retiring June 2018 and we want to it the road for 2-3 months. Much more room than our other camper, we are looking forward to using this.

I'm going Saturday to look at campers. The one I found I like is CampLite. All aluminum frame and structure. Comes in limited sizes though. The '09 coyote camper shown has twin axels. For a smaller camper. I like that.
But some great looking campers here. PawPaw with the F350 has my retirement truck. Although I don't retire for 10 years. I'm planning on having more truck then camper when I do. Not the other way around. I like to travel light and fast. I meet to many trucks on the road here in the summer towing fifth wheel or tounge hitch campers that are freighted. Not me.

'14 Laredo 274RB. About 7400 lbs ready to camp, 30' overall.
Still getting everything dialed in on the hitch.
Maiden voyage with the F-150 will be this weekend.
Towed it for last 3 years with a 1500 Chevy, will give it a few trips to make any comparison. Went for a test ride last weekend. 1st impressions where that the Ford has more power, but the Chevy was a lot more stable with the trailer.
