Sorry I have no camper at this time to post a pic of. But I can say in my travels this summer I have seen many new F150's I've felt very very bad for. Huge travel trailers , the trucks rear bumper barely a foot off the ground. Or the one with a giant Montana fifthwheel...camper three times bigger then the truck (going about 35 mph by the way). Only once this summer I saw a chevy dually towing a 20 camper. I said "there finally that guy gets it. More truck, less camper".

First hook-up with the '16

Not sure about the tongue or tt weight. Hopefully I can get by some scales someday...has some squat even with the WDH but with the 2" level it's not as bad as I expected. Also I was on a hillside in the rain and didn't bother measuring anything setting it up.

Be careful with the tires. A heavy single axle trailer can get wild with a flat tire or a blow out.

Oh, these tires won't be going anywhere. They were on the trailer when I bought it out of some old folks' chicken house. They look 10 yrs old. But they hold air and they made it home. Now they'll be coming off and replaced before it leaves the yard again.

Everything went well. My house is all up hill on the way home fromd ealer, and truck did fine. A few times I felt a little wobble or sway here or there, but I'm sure that's because I've never towed anything this big before. Just something to get use to. We have the camper packed up with everything we will have camping, besides our clothes. And in my driveway, it still seemed not to be squatting at all. We don't have a ton of stuff anyway, but so far so good it seems.

Reduce the force of the WDH to return some weight back to the rear axle. It will help greatly to reduce sway and control will feel better.

Right now you have too much weight transferred to the steer (front) axle. You want the front and rear level, as well as the trailer level. If not possible, slightly nose down on the trailer is acceptable.

The goal isn't to make the truck level. The goal is to get the front hitched height half the distance of the unhitched height. Although I prefer mine closer to 1/2" rise max.

In other words, 37" unhitched. 39 hitched with no spring bars. Goal: 38" with spring bars engaged.

The rear goes where it goes.
