Here is my 2007 F150 and a 2004 Casita 17 ft Spirit Deluxe. I recently upgraded to a 2015 2.7 Eco Boost, but haven't pulled this trailer yet. We still have snow on the ground in Illinois.

I like it! I have an (old) 1998 National Tropical Class A (36'). Thinking about downsizing to something like this that I can just pull with the new truck (although I could pull the truck with my Tropical!).

Anybody pulling a 4 season bunkhouse with a slide or two? We are thinking about upgrading and trying to figure out if I need to move to a F250 or not. All the ones we've looked at are over my 7k# towing

Towing:

How much does your truck weigh?
What is the gross vehicle what rating?
The different is payload, which is hitch weight, makeup bag, family dog, fuel, etc.

What is the gross combined weight rating?
How much does trailer weigh?

Trailer weight + truck weight < GCWR?

Bottom line is the towing info in the brochure will tell you what the truck is rated for. Will the truck do more - likely. Should you try it - not likely.

I used to drive an F450 with a 18000# fifth wheel. 29000# combined. Over 3000# of hitch weight.

The overwhelming consideration is can the truck stop the trailer. F150 brakes are marginal. I've had my front rotors turned twice in 75000 miles. And I don't tow much.

the truck is not designed to stop the trailer. the trailer brakes are designed to stop the trailer.
