Towing with the Eco Boost
I'm pulling a 2014 Crossroads 32' with double slide outs that weighs about 8,500#'s loaded. NO ISSUES pulling this load with my 2014 F-150 Platinum 4X4,with the Eco-boost V6. Comes right off the line and has no problem keeping up with traffic even going up hill. Fuel mileage is lousy because of the turbo kicking in, but this little engine has plenty of power. We've put close to 2000 miles on this combo since purchasing the trailer in July.

I also mean no disrespect, but I've never really understood the whole "camping" thing either. My parents were big into it, and dragged us kids all over heck. My personal idea of "roughing it" is no concierge or bellhop.

Well pulling a huge trailer with all the comforts of home is hardly roughing it, but personally I just like to travel going where I want when I want and that's much easier pulling my house behind me. No reservations required.

I think you're getting lost in the term "camping". My wife likes to call it Glamping (glamor camping), but I tend to agree that term isn't well suited for campground recreation. Call it what you want, it's a way to tour and sightsee your region of the country while staying in your own private personalized hotel. Not to mention many of the campgrounds are adventure and entertainment destinations themselves

To me "camping" is sleeping in a tent in a sleeping bag. Our RV is NOTHING like camping. Two AC's, forced-air furnace, double slide outs for plenty of room, full indoor kitchen, outdoor kitchen with sink & refrigerator, 32' TV's front and rear, queen sized bed, etc. Best of all I don't have to worry about noisy neighbors in the room next door or who/what has slept in the bed.
