I don't full time it, but from what I have read on forums and talking to people they all say to leave the black take fill up but leave the grey open, once you get to about 2/3 to 3/4 full on black, shut the grey valve and let that tank fill, once full do a dump as you would at a dump station.

As for the TP, just test it to see if it breaks down easily, take a jar with a lid, fill 3/4 with water and add 2-4 sheets of TP and put lid on and shake for a couple seconds, if it break apart your good to go, if not try another brand.

For the chems it's up to you if you use them, it helps with odor and break down but if you flush it out on the regular and use plenty of water then it's probably not necessary.

That makes sense. I didn't think it would probably flow right on through very good because it doesn't seem like you can send enough water fast enough but thought I should ask some experts, thanks!

The TP dose not break down enough it still take up space in the tank and it screws up the gauges...we don't put TP in our toilet just get some brown paper lunch bags and put TP in them then throw that away....Once the gauge gets paper on it it is never the same... Just my 2 cents

You should never leave the black tank open it needs to have waste water in it.If you leave it open the poop will stick to the bottom and won't flush out...when full open gate value. Then close and repeat next time it's full.If you are going for a few days or a week use the gray water to flush out the line after you dump the black.

Another good trick for your black tank is when you just going to leave throw some ice cubes along with some tide and drive, cleans it up really good in there

I installed the tank tornado, it seems to do a pretty good job blasting the sides, etc.

Also a clear 45deg elbow that connects in line between the hose and tank so you can see what's coming out of the tank.

I use the rv tp cuz the regular home tp it's too thick & may cause it to build up on sensors therefor giving you false readings, it doesn't break down add easily as normal tp

Perfect, I was afraid of that, thanks. It's an 07 and I think maybe the previous owner used regular tp or left it open all the time cause it was a permanent summer Park also cause the black tank is empty but shows 1/3 full on the Guage.

Our new Flagstaff has a hose connector on the outside of the rig so that during dumping you hook that up and there are water jets on all four sides of the tank that flush the tank out.
