Just curious what your guy's tire payload ratings are, I was thinking I might have to take my 305/35/24s off to pull that cougar 276rls but I looked at the payload rating and its higher than the stock Michelins on 2 f150s next to me in the parking lot. anyone pull with low pros or is that just a bad idea due to lack of sidewall if you hit a bump? They are rated higher than stock as far as weight.
no these tires are not adequate, not at all. I don't really understand why people run these under trucks but that's only me... never mine a truck pulling a 5th wheel!
You have the heaviest F150 there is, you have 400lbs worth of accessories, you do not have MaxTow, you have an 5.4 and you have 24in wheels...
Tires are there for a reason, absorb shocks and vibrations. With 35 ratio as you know sidewall is to low and you might end up damaging both, your truck and trailer!
Your call but I would put every chances on my side if I were you!
Best of luck

They actually didn't change the ride of my truck at all compared to stock. The shock absorbers are very good. Adding all that extra weight of the rv I thought could be a problem if you ran over something or hit a pothole though. Thanks. You have stock tires or did you add a 10 ply or something?

Tire is one thing, what about the wheels you have? Do you know the rating on them?
I take towing very seriously (no accessories on my truck and a very light hitch) and I do every thing I can to make it the most enjoyable experience possible... Just ask my kids if they like riding in the back of a Scab ;-)

I have both... P (Xtra Load) tires on stock 20in wheels with 3100lbs capacity and LT-E 10 ply (stock size, 3500lbs rated) on bore centered after market real truck wheels (3000lbs rated).

Running kit like this is fine when you want to drive around town in a truck, but when you want to haul it's time to ditch the 'bling' nonsense and get serious about right equipment for the job.

I'm not sure, never knew this much about ties and rims which is why I'm asking, I don't want to break something. Thanks for the info, I will check into it. Looks as though my rims and tires are rated higher than stock rims and tires but stock has more rubber. Might just swap them out for the short tow if I park it at the lake all summer as planned. I still have my stock rims with Cooper discover m/s tires on them. I'll have to check ratings on those. Some people say not to run them at over 40 degrees but others point out they are also mud tires so I'm not sure who to believe, everyone has a different opinion which is why I like to ask everyone and make a better informed decision.

Most F150 after market wheels are bore centric but that won't change the fact that you shouldn't tow with 24in wheel wrap in 35 height tires...

I wouldn't tow with lugs centrics (however you spell that ;-) ) wheels... It means that all the weight sits on the lugs by the fact that the bore (center center of the wheel) is larger than the hub...

I wouldn't tow with a 35 serie tire either.
But if you don't mind busting a tire or wheel on a potholes..go for it. :P
but the rating is there, so they can handle that.
Don't know how you didn't notice any chance in ride quality with 35 serie!
I just went from stock 18" (275-65-18) regular P tire to stock 20" (275-55-20) xtra load(will help towing my TT) and the ride is definatly firmer.
