I'm looking at adding something similar to the JTs strong arm jack stabilizer to the trailer. The trailer rocks a lot when we walk around or even when someone is tossing and turning in bed. I think I am gonna do this system my self as a homemade project. http://themobileoutfitters.com/index...2-center-point

I am also thinking of adding the Reese strait line system for towing. I have the the Reese round bar setup now so it will be just adding a couple components to make it a strait line. http://www.etrailer.com/Weight-Distr...e/RP66073.html

And add a couple small hooks in the compartments for hanging different things to get them out of the way.

A WDH with sway control and Firestone air bags on the truck. Truck didn't have factory trailer bracket control so I took it to local dealer they added it. First trip with the rig was 80 miles got 7.3 mpg running 65

Just purchased a 2009 F150 FX4 CC. Looking forward to my first oportunity to tow the camper. Here is a pic of us last year, towing with my Ford Explorer, maxed out its towing capacity. Amazing how well it towed the camper, as long as you took it easy and liked going up hills at 45mph. My only problem is how to carry the two bikes on the roof of the Explorer. I already have two on the back of the trailer, and the bumper is not strong enough to hold 4. Can't put them in the bed of the truck either. Looking at some sort of rack that goes on the front of the TT or attached above the hitch on the truck. Need to wait for the snow to melt and get the camper out of storage to size up the problem.

Is the bike rack attached to the factory bumper? Even with 2 bikes it's only a matter of time that they'll be laying on the side of the road. I just put the Curt 13703 on. That would hold a 4 bike rack with no problems.

Good looking camper!

Also this is that little trailer from harbor freight. It'll be behind the 5th wheel with the atv on it. Took a good day to get it all together and wired. Since it tilts, I ran a dedicated ground wire all around for the lights.

All this talk of bike racks, I guess I will have to get off my a__ and deal with it once the new 5'r arrives. Up until now I've just tossed the bikes in the bed of the F-150 when hauling the TT. A world of difference with the 5'r.

Oh well, we still have some time to figure out a plan.

OK, we're in the same boat... new 5th and no place to put the bikes. I will be installing the curt hitch on the 5th so that should cover it, except when pulling double.

Maybe this is dumb idea but has anyone put bikes inside the trailer/5th? If so, I'm interested how you secured them.

Only our son's $4000 carbon fiber road bike would go inside.
