Need your advice and experience- My 2015 Aspen Trail 1900RB arrived at my dealer and I plan to pick it up next week. I want to get a Weight Distribution Hitch (WDH) and am looking at Blue Ox or Curt. I've heard that some mfgrs models need to disconnect the ***'y to back up. Any comments would be appreciated. Photos coming soon.

I'm a user of a Equal-izer and love the simplicity of it as well how good it works. I have over 30k kms on ours and has never let us down

So do you have to take the bars off when making tight turns or backing up with sharp turning radius's? I am looking at the equalizer hitches and like them the best so far. I am not new to towing at all but new to using weight distribution hitches. Always used f-350's for towing. Videos on YouTube only show how to install and don't show the hitch when Turing and backing up.

I personally have been at angles well above 45 and probably getting close to 80 degrees without uncoupling....

You don't have to disconnect the link chain bars. Just make sure on those really tight back ins, that you make sure your trailer plug cord doesn't get pinched.

Another user of the Equalizer, and it is real easy to connect/disconnect. I have never had any problems with backing up and making a sharp turn.
