The best thing to do is to check your manual and see what your GCWR is and to add your GCWR and the trailer weight together and see if it exceeds your GCWR. Always add around 1000 -1500 lbs for cargo. I would say yes you can but the numbers will tell you for sure. I hear 5th wheels carry weight better because the weight is centre better but I am a hitch guy for now so I haven't really experienced the difference.

Added info for ya.

Just arrived with our Fema trailer at Hungry Mother SP in VA. This is a shake down cruise and so far everything is perfect.

First pull with our new to us unit! The previous owners dropped it off at our house last fall so I only hooked up to move it in the yard for storage.

I have a little squat but acceptable considering a 2.5" level is on the truck. If we decide to tow any distance I will spend more time to ensure the optimal set up.

Here's where it will be parked likely all summer since our kids are a little young for "camping"

This is at my parents retirement house on Lake Superior.

Our trailer prior to current one was a 2006 FEMA which we had a great time using. It was a Jayflight which we picked up in Melville, Louisiana. Ours didn't have anything on the outside for decals and needed some serious cleaning but we loved it. Here's a pic of it after picking it up.
